Acro Instructor

Job Summary:
The Acro Instructor is responsible for providing high-quality, engaging acrobatics instruction to students of varying ages and skill levels. Through group classes and/or private instruction, the instructor fosters strength, flexibility, coordination, and body awareness in a safe, supportive, and student-centered learning environment. This role may also include preparing students for performances, recitals, or showcases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide group and/or private acro classes appropriate to students’ age and experience level.
     
  • Teach foundational and advanced acrobatic skills including flexibility, balance, strength, tumbling basics, and transitions.
     
  • Emphasize proper technique, alignment, conditioning, and safe progressions to prevent injury.
     
  • Develop structured lesson plans and skill progressions that support student growth and confidence.
     
  • Prepare students for performances, recitals, or demonstrations as applicable.
     
  • Provide clear, constructive feedback and encouragement to support skill development.
     
  • Maintain consistent communication with students, families, and program staff regarding progress, expectations, and scheduling.
     
  • Keep accurate records of attendance and student progress.
     
  • Attend faculty meetings, performances, and special events when required.
     

Qualifications:

  • Training and proficiency in acrobatics, tumbling, gymnastics, or acro dance.
     
  • Prior teaching experience, particularly with children and teens, preferred.
     
  • Strong understanding of safe spotting techniques and age-appropriate skill progressions.
     
  • Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.
     
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
     

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience teaching acro within a dance or performing arts program.
     
  • Knowledge of conditioning, flexibility training, and injury prevention.
     
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
     
  • Experience preparing students for performances or competitions.

Voice Instructor

Job Summary:

The Voice Instructor is responsible for providing high-quality, engaging vocal instruction to students of varying ages and skill levels. Through private lessons and/or group classes, the instructor fosters vocal technique, musicality, and confidence in a supportive and student-centered learning environment. This role may also include preparing students for recitals, auditions, or performances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and/or group voice lessons in a variety of vocal styles (e.g., classical, musical theatre, pop, jazz).
  • Teach foundational and advanced vocal techniques including breath control, pitch accuracy, tone, diction, and performance skills.
  • Develop personalized lesson plans and vocal exercises tailored to each student’s age, goals, and experience level.
  • Prepare students for public performances, recitals, competitions, or auditions as applicable.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to support growth and vocal health.
  • Maintain consistent communication with students, families, and program staff regarding progress, scheduling, and goals.
  • Keep accurate records of attendance, lesson plans, and student progress.
  • Attend faculty meetings, recitals, and special events when required.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in vocal performance and vocal pedagogy; degree in music, voice performance, or related field preferred.
  • Prior teaching experience, especially with youth or in a community-based or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of healthy vocal technique across age groups and styles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and experience levels.

Preferred Skills:

  • Piano skills for accompaniment or basic vocal warm-ups.
  • Experience preparing students for competitions, auditions, or standardized music assessments.
  • Familiarity with vocal health and vocal anatomy.
  • Bilingual or multilingual communication skills (a plus for diverse communities).

Piano Instructor

Job Summary:

The Piano Instructor provides individualized piano instruction to students of varying ages and skill levels, fostering musical growth, technical proficiency, and a love for music. The instructor creates tailored lesson plans that develop students’ skills in technique, sight-reading, theory, and performance, preparing them for recitals, exams, or personal musical goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach private and/or group piano lessons focusing technique, musicality, and repertoire.
  • Develop personalized lesson plans that meet the needs and goals of each student.
  • Prepare students for performances, recitals, exams (e.g., ABRSM, RCM), or other musical milestones.
  • Monitor and document student progress and provide regular feedback to students and families.
  • Encourage positive practice habits and a supportive learning environment.
  • Communicate with families and staff regarding scheduling, progress, and any concerns.
  • Attend staff meetings, recitals, and other organizational events as required.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in piano performance and pedagogy.
  • Formal training in piano or music education (degree preferred but not required).
  • Experience teaching piano to students of various ages and skill levels.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for teaching.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of music theory and sight-reading instruction.
  • Experience preparing students for graded exams or competitions.
  • Ability to accompany or collaborate with other musicians.
  • Familiarity with various musical styles and genres.

Violin Instructor
Job Summary:
The Violin Instructor provides individualized violin instruction to students of all ages and skill levels, fostering strong foundational technique, musical expression, and a lifelong appreciation for music. The instructor designs tailored lesson plans that develop bowing, intonation, posture, music theory, sight-reading, and repertoire, while preparing students for recitals, auditions, exams, or personal musical goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach private and/or group violin lessons focusing on technique, tone production, musicality, and repertoire.
  • Create personalized lesson plans that meet the unique needs and goals of each student.
  • Prepare students for performances, recitals, auditions, exams (e.g., ABRSM, RCM), or other musical achievements.
  • Monitor, assess, and document student progress while providing regular feedback to students and families.
  • Encourage effective practice habits and support students in developing discipline and confidence.
  • Communicate with families and staff regarding scheduling, progress, expectations, and any concerns.
  • Attend staff meetings, recitals, and organizational events as required.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in violin performance and pedagogy.
  • Formal training in violin, string performance, or music education (degree preferred but not required).
  • Experience teaching violin to students of various ages and skill levels.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for teaching.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of music theory, ear training, and sight-reading instruction.
  • Experience preparing students for graded exams, auditions, festivals, or competitions.
  • Ability to perform or collaborate with other musicians (chamber, orchestral, or accompanist coordination).
  • Familiarity with a wide range of musical styles and genres, from classical to contemporary.
