Acting Classes

Fall Workshop: Wednesdays September 17th - November 19th, 2025 (10 weeks)

acting Adventures (ages 9-12)

$98

Wednesdays 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Step into the spotlight! This engaging 10-week acting class invites young performers to explore storytelling through fun, imaginative role-play. Students will bring characters and situations to life while developing important acting skills that build confidence both on stage and off.

What We’ll Learn:

  • Mental Skills: sensory recall, visualization, and imaginative thinking
  • Voice Skills: speaking with expression, clarity, and confidence
  • Body Skills: using movement to tell a story and express emotion
  • Ensemble Skills: working together, supporting others, and building trust

Through a mix of improvisation, planning, and performance, students will create scenes inspired by personal experiences, heritage, literature, history, and pure imagination. We’ll also explore how theater connects with other art forms—like film, television, and media—while learning how to engage and respond as both performers and audience members.

By the end of the session, students will have the tools to bring characters to life, tell stories that matter to them, and work as part of a creative team. Whether your child is brand new to acting or already loves the stage, this class is a joyful, skill-building adventure in creativity!

Exploring the classics (ages 13-18)

$98

Wednesdays 7:15 pm - 8:15 pm

Take the stage and step into history! This 10-week acting class for teens is a dynamic introduction to drama through the lens of six iconic plays, each representing a different historical period of theatre:

  • Antigone – Sophocles
  • Everyman – Anonymous
  • Romeo and Juliet – William Shakespeare
  • The Importance of Being Earnest – Oscar Wilde
  • The Wild Duck – Henrik Ibsen
  • The Bald Soprano – Eugène Ionesco

Students will explore each play through a mix of reading, discussion, and performance, experiencing how theatre has evolved over the centuries while discovering timeless themes that still resonate today. The course emphasizes character work, helping students separate their own personalities from the roles they play, and deepens their understanding of the relationship between art and life.

We’ll place a special spotlight on Shakespeare, diving into selected scenes and monologues from Macbeth and Hamlet. Through scene study, ensemble work, and performance exercises, students will strengthen their skills in interpretation, voice, movement, and collaboration.

By the end of the session, students will have gained confidence in bringing classic texts to life, sharpened their performance skills, and developed a deeper appreciation for theatre’s place in literature, history, and culture.
