Acting Classes - 8 weeks; April 8th-June 3rd

INSTRUCTOR: Gina Lange Stickley

Script analysis: Actors break down scenes to understand characters’ motivations, desires (objectives), actions, and hidden meanings (subtext).

Character Development: Actors will learn to creative multi-layerd individuals by exploring their background, relationships, and emotional landscape, making choices beyond the surface level.

Partner Work: Actors rehearse with scene partners or an ensemble focusing on reacting authentically and building chemistry

Performance & Feedback: Actors perform their scenes, often receiving detailed notes and direction from the instructor, similar to a director’s feedback on set/stage.

Technique Application: Exercises are used to improve specific skills like emotional connection, voice, or making bold, text-driven choices.

Improvisation: We will work on the “yes and” technique to explore more possibilities within your scene work.
